The moment the doctor spoke those words—“You have breast cancer”—the world felt like it had collapsed around her. Fear gripped her heart, but instead of surrendering to it, she made a choice. Nieca turned inward, seeking solace in her faith. She clung to the words of Luke 8:43-48, repeating them in her mind like a lifeline, finding strength in the story of healing.

In the days that followed, as she faced the daunting reality of treatment, Nieca encountered a whirlwind of emotions. The physical toll was significant; losing her hair felt like losing a part of herself. But rather than facing this alone, she invited her family into the experience.
